Kumi Amio (網緒 組, Amio Kumi) was a 'criminal' within Tenbi Academy who was revealed to be the attacker of various girls within Tenbi. However, she was actually being controlled by Kamigari, more precisely by Otohime, in order to draw the attention of Maken-Ki and record their fighting prowess.
Appearance[]
Kumi's debut appearance
Kumi is a very attractive girl of medium height with semi-long maroon hair that reaches the back of her neck with a few hair strands hanging over her face and red eyes.
She wears the standard Tenbi Academy uniform although, in her case, her distinctive feature is long, dark stockings with embroidered purples, which give a more sensual touch to her appearance.
Personality[]
Kumi is mainly seen as a seductive woman who takes advantage of her feminine charms and developed body to attract her victims (girls or boys) and then attack them. When in combat, she demonstrates a very sadistic nature who enjoys making her victim suffer.
However, because she was controlled by Kamigari to get Maken-ki's attention, it is not known if this is her true nature. Even so, she is classified as a "criminal" at Tenbi due to the cases of girls she attacked.
Maken and Abilities[]
Nephila : Nephila takes the form of a Yo-Yo, which she can use to launch attacks at her opponents from a long distance. When she activates her Maken, she forms a huge spider web made of Element, which completely immobilizes her opponents and everyone who is nearby.
Etymology[]
- The name Kumi means "set" (組).
- Kumi's surname Amio means "network" (網) (ami) and "thread" (緒) (o).
Trivia[]
- Several of Kumi's characteristics, such as her beauty, her seductive personality and even the themes of her Maken give Kumi the impression of a femme fatale.
- Kumi is the first "criminal" student to appear in the series.
